Teaching & mentorship

My teaching brings professional practice into the classroom: original projects, design critique, production skills, and the discipline of developing a portfolio.

At South Tech Academy, I led the graphic design program as its sole instructor and developed a curriculum later used by other instructors. Students earned awards, Adobe certifications, and opportunities to begin design careers.

From student
to instructor.

During my associate degree, I completed the Photoshop course assignments on the first day. My instructor brought me to the dean and recommended that the school hire me. I taught Photoshop under her guidance throughout my enrollment.

That experience of having someone recognize my potential has stayed with me throughout my teaching career.
